Against a backdrop of towering waves, the looks designed by Pharrell Williams explore the sea and the shore. The dandy borrows the codes and colors of surf culture. With his new men’s collection, the Creative Director transcends frontiers to unleash a new energy, inspired by the serene rhythm of the ride.

The wardrobe of the dandy-surfer draws on travel, performance and savoir-faire. This unconventional elegance, tinged with a certain relaxed sophistication, is imbued with marine embellishments and hand-woven textiles. The rolling waves set the tone, lend their hues of blue and green. Precisetailoring dialogues with monogrammed technical wetsuits, and the surfboard emerges as the ultimate summer accessory. Supple bags catch the eye.

While textures seem weathered by the sun and sea spray, embroidered beads and shells recall treasures found on the beach. From acid colors to checkerboard motifs, graphics fuse the lexicons of surf culture and skateboarding. Stripes play with the line of the horizon, and a dazzling trunk evokes the sunset of an endless summer. Baseball caps and hoodies let long hair flow free. Fluid pants are paired with canvas sneakers that step lightly in the sand. Among the stand-out pieces is a jacket crafted from patches, like souvenirs of surfing spots visited around the world. Under the Paris sky, the waves become a unifying symbol, connecting the beauty of nature to the community of dandy-surfers.

The Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring/Summer 2027 stage and scenography were designed by experiential event agency Bureau Betak, featuring creative direction from Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams. The monumental stage, built at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, featured a 37-metre-wide, 26-foot-tall cascading artificial wave made with water sourced from the city’s public utility. Models walked on a sand-covered runway that passed directly under and through the wave feature.

Core Collection Themes

  • Surf & Shoreline Culture: The entire line leaned heavily into beach life energy, incorporating motifs, silhouettes, and styling cues pulled directly from coastal lifestyles.
  • Travel & Escape: Carrying forward Louis Vuitton’s core heritage, the collection reimagined the spirit of global travel and luxury leisure through an immersive maritime lens.
  • Purpose over Excess & Lightness: Reflecting a broader seasonal shift in menswear, the garments highlighted fluid tailoring, breezy fabrics, and a sense of optimism to face changing global climates.
  • The “Universal Beach”: The collection framed seaside destinations not just as holiday spots, but as shared environments where diverse human communities unite.

Scenography & Atmosphere

  • The Crashing Wave: The central visual anchor was a monumental, 37-metre-wide artificial tidal wave that continuously crest over a curved framework.
  • Eco-Conscious Water Network: Powered by Paris’s local utility network (Eau de Paris), the water flowed through a closed-loop system and was cleanly drained into the city sewers after the event.
  • Natural Shoreline Elements: Models carrying signature luggage walked across a winding sand catwalk, while guests watched from low-slung, timber benches resting directly on the sand.
